Aura is a personal mood journal app. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights over it.
If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, Aura receives:
With Sign in with Apple, you may also choose to hide your email behind a private relay address — Aura works the same either way.
Sign-in is entirely optional. Aura works in full guest mode with no account required.
When you log a mood entry, Aura stores:
If you enable daily reminders, Aura schedules local notifications on your device at the time you choose. No data about your notification settings or usage leaves your device.
If you add the Aura widgets to your home screen, they read your locally stored mood data (today’s mood, current streak) to display it. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere by the widget.

No mood data is ever shared with other users or made publicly accessible.
Your data is used solely to provide the app’s features — displaying your mood history, calculating streaks, showing trends, and powering home screen widgets and reminder notifications. It is never:

No other third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs are used.
You have full control over your data at any time:
Your data is retained until you delete it. Deleting your account or all data removes it permanently and cannot be undone.
Aura is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If this policy changes materially, the “Last updated” date at the top will be updated. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
